Are you planning to improve the “Change Image Reference” funtionality?
Actually I prefer the design in 2.x as you could see the different images.
However, I would prefer a larger dialog with a better overview of the images.

As you can see, the only difference is the left/right button is replaced by dropdown list. We think it is an enhancement since we don’t have to go thought the images one by one. Imagine you have many images and you want to specify the image at the end, the left/right button will take very long time to find the target image.
Ahh, yes I see that now. That is actually an improvement then… 🙂
I would still prefer a large dialog with thumbnails of (maybe) all images in the plot.
